Hello all! As a new member, may I give a big happy greeting to all you of you?
Actually, I was wondering if a good biography focusing on U2's social/political involvement is out there. I'd love to research the band for a government class project, but first I'll need to convince my teacher that a) it fits the criteria and b) there is printed matter out there for me to draw from.
So, anyone read any good books on the band, in that respect?
Thanks! Happy to be here ~Marisa
P.S. - Who else thinks "Hands That Built America" is heartbreakingly good? Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair that someone can come along and twist your insides so easily.

Welcome to the board!
As you can see, we're quite small, but with new users like yourself we're growing all the time!
Although it's very out of date (1985 I think), Eammon Dumphy's biography of U2 (dealing with all their early years) is very highly rated.
And yup, "Hands" has done wonderous things to me as well!
