Does anyone know when or why the version of The Electric Co on Under a Blood Red Sky was cut?
The vinyl copy I had in 1983 featured Bono's brief extemporisations on "America" and "Send in the Clowns" and I always thought those were a highlight of the track... but I heard the album recently and was dismayed to find a great big edit. I thought at first it might have been to reduce the thing to CD length but have since remembered that UaBRS was a very short LP anyway, far less than 74 min, or whatever it is a CD can take....
